Always trying to look at things in a different light

Currently working as a pilot manufacturing engineer at LAM Research, I have had the invaluable opportunity to bring designs to life for the first time and effectively address any challenges encountered during the process. This role has allowed me to contribute to the iterative design process by seamlessly integrating feedback and ensuring optimal outcomes.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I have consistently channeled my passion for design, engineering, and manufacturing into my personal projects. I invite you to explore my portfolio to witness firsthand how I have harnessed this enthusiasm to create innovative solutions outside the confines of the office.

About Me

I am driven by a strong desire to be hands-on and eagerly seek opportunities to dive into the details and troubleshoot issues. My passion for engineering led me to graduate with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from RPI in December 2015, overcoming challenges along the way, including transferring institutions twice. Notably, I achieved a significant personal milestone by graduating from the same institute as my grandfather did 66 years earlier.

During my time at RPI, I discovered my true element while immersed in the Mill, one of the shop facilities where I had classes. It was there that I gained my initial exposure to various manufacturing processes such as injection molding, CNC milling, deep drawing, and vacuum forming. This hands-on experience solidified my passion for practical problem-solving and ignited my enthusiasm for working directly with machinery.

At the beginning of my college career I was working summers as a canoe guide for the scouts, and eventually a winter guide too. Graduating High School in Kingwood Texas and being on a plane the next morning to northern Minnesota to start training as a canoe guide might be seen as a big swing, but it aligned with my adventurous spirit. The experiences I had guiding through the Atikaki in Manitoba to the boundary waters in Minnesota allowed me to develop my leadership skills and thrive in high-pressure situations, requiring quick thinking and composure. Even today, I continue to nurture my love for the outdoors, regularly heading out on camping trips at least once a month.

I hope you think of me when you are trying to fill your next engineering position. If there is anything more that you want to know about me, please reach out.
